FynBosch is the studio of South African-born, Netherlands-based artist Anneke Bosch. She studied Textile Art & Design at Tshwane University of Technology and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, and also trained in floral art and design.
Rooted in textile art, my work explores the relationship between nature, material and memory. I work with fibres, plants, found and gathered materials, weaving, embroidery and other tactile processes to create pieces that sit somewhere between art, personal archive and botanical study.
Alongside my independent artistic practice, FynBosch includes botanical studies, small editions and DIY projects that invite others into the same slow, tactile process of working with their hands and with natural materials.
At its heart, FynBosch is about paying attention: to material, to nature, to the small details that are easily overlooked, and to the quiet process of making something by hand.
